This privacy policy explains how the "CaptureBrowser" browser extension ("the extension") handles data.

What Information We Collect

The CaptureBrowser extension is designed with absolute privacy in mind. We collect absolutely zero data.

The extension does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII), analytics, browsing history, or user settings. It operates entirely on your local machine and does not communicate with any external servers.

How the Extension Works (Data Processing)

When you click the extension to take a screenshot, the image is generated locally by your browser's native engine. The resulting image file is instantly processed on your machine and saved directly to your local "Downloads" folder. At no point does the screenshot, or any data about the webpage you are viewing, leave your computer.

Why We Need Certain Permissions

To provide its core functionality locally, the extension requires the following browser permissions:

• ActiveTab & Scripting: Required to smoothly scroll down the current webpage to trigger lazy-loaded images before capturing the screen.
• Debugger: Required to access the browser's native DevTools Protocol, which allows the extension to capture elements of the webpage that are hidden beyond the visible screen.
• Downloads: Required strictly to save the final screenshot `.png` file to your computer's local hard drive.

Data Sharing

Because we do not collect or store any data, there is absolutely no data to share, sell, rent, or trade with any third parties.
